Description:

We are looking for an engineer to join our engineering team in developing our next-generation trading applications. As a Front end Software Engineer you will use technology to solve challenges like building highly scalable and global applications that can deal with the rapid growth in market events, deliver best in class user experience for GUI applications, and a wide variety of high availability features. You will drive the technical direction and implementation of our offerings and solutions, working with a broad set of technical skills/tools. You will design and code, troubleshoot and support.

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in software development and full product life-cycles
Coding skills in C# coupled with strong base in object-oriented design and development
Development experience with the .NET development C# web based development
Experience with WCF/WPF ( they will be building out screens for a trading system

Distributed Cache Technology (Coherence, GemFire, EHCache -etc)
Exp. with 3^rd party grids/controls/libraries, REST API's

Working knowledge of SQL Server Database, SSIS, SSRS, Performance Tuning, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, etc.UNIX/LINUX
Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation.
Ability to work as a member of an Agile team as well as individually
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand existing code and refactor them as necessary
A strong contributor with a collaborative work style. (some of the team members know Java not .NET so collaboration with team members is key)
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs

MS degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability

General Comments

Financial services Domain exp. is a MUST -Trading, order mgmt. domain exp. is a huge plus but not a must have

Need a Senior .Net developer, strong in WPF, to develop the front end to a trade order management system for a trader workstation. Work will focus on WPF but consultant should be literate enough down to the service level code to solve problem as they arise. They are using Rest web services. They have an internal container. Any experience with GemFire Enterprise would be a big plus, as would any prior investment industry experience

Interview process:

Phone screen with manager or his tech lead, followed by a coding problem that will be sent to the candidate. In the on-site interview, they will sit with one of the developers in a paired-programming exercise to work on the coding exercise. Will be one phone screen followed by one day for the on-site interview. May require additional phone screen or meeting with managers boss if he is not available the day of the interview.

• 6+ years of experience working in a high volume DataStage 8.5 environment.

• Expert in developing Oracle procedures, functions, packages, database triggers and troubleshooting using PL/SQL and SQL.

• Experienced in implementing advanced features of Oracle like Autonomous Transactions, Ref-Cursors, PL/SQL Tables, Table Partitioning, V-Arrays, Materialized Views, Merge statements, SQL*Loader, External Tables, Pipelined/Table functions, Result Cache, With Clause and Multi Table Inserts.

• Strong experience on Mainframe DB2 environment.

• Strong experience writing JCL Unloads, handling VSAM files and automation.

• Vast experience troubleshooting performance issues, SQL tuning is a must.

• 4+ years of strong hands on experience working on Pentaho PDI (Candidates with Pentaho BI will not be considered).

• Strong hands on deep pocket experience with PERL, Unix Shell scripting and crontab.
