                Job Description

Infrastructure Engineers work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support solutions for Domestic and International business units, partners and customers. In addition, Infrastructure Engineers perform technical requirements gathering, documentation, diagrams, and implementation activities of the Dominos ecosystem.


Infrastructure Engineering

Develops and documents models, plans, diagrams, illustrations, and procedures in support of implementing standard store networks and VPN connectivity to the corporate office.

Advises business managers and customers of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations

Installation and testing of network hardware for data, voice and video, high-availability and disaster recovery.

Ensures new technologies are reviewed and implemented, standards and security requirements are met, and interoperability needs are addressed.

Technical leader in Cisco switching and routing, firewalls, VPN, and wireless implementation.

Qualifications

In depth knowledge and understanding of networking technologies, design principles, and the practical application of routers, switches, virtualization, storage, storage networking virtualization/zoning, and load-balancers.

Experience gathering business requirements, designing technical solutions, and presenting proposed solutions to customers.

Knowledge of network security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, Intrusion detection/prevention, and web application firewalls.

Strong documentation skills and experience generating technical documents, diagrams, solutions specifications, guidelines, processes, and procedures.

Experience in standardizing and automating system builds, component installation, and system configuration.

Experience with software and hardware troubleshooting and system monitoring.

Strong technical knowledge and experience in several of the following (certification a plus):

Cisco Routing/Switching

Meraki Security Appliances, switching, and wireless technology

• Works with senior QA members on larger project efforts, and takes direction on assignments to assist in the completion of the project on schedule and on budget.
• Works independently on small to medium sized project efforts to assist in the completion of the project on schedule and on budget.
• May direct a team on small project efforts to assist in the completion of the project on schedule and on budget.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for projects, providing assistance on business and technical related questions
• Provides estimates for small and medium sized QA technical assignments
• Develops automation test cases for the use in regression testing, smoke testing, and performance testing.
• Executes automation test cases to validate that no new defects are introduced to the system, system performance meets requirements, and does a smoke test of deployments.
• Independently:
o Develops Test Approaches for assigned maintenance work requests.
o Develops Test Plans for West Bend's strategic initiatives.
o Breaks down the components of a technical solution and plans test execution based on applicable risk.
o Ensures application services are secure and function per the Requirements, Architecture Approach, and Technical Design.
o Utilizes SQL and data analysis skill sets to ensure data quality and accurate BI analytics.
o Ensures that Infrastructure services are secure and function per the Requirements, Architecture Approach, and Technical Design.
• Applies QA Best Practices and actively looks for process improvement opportunities.
• Understands and follows all established policies and standards.
• Actively pursues personal development by learning and applying new technical and soft skills. 
• Works with Supervisor or Manager to determine personal development plan.
• Engages in technical advancement opportunities within the team, such as lunch and learns, book reviews, and pertinent certifications
