A Self-driven, motivated, leader who will be a glue between Project Manager/Technical Architect and Developers
Good communication skills – internal, customer and multiple vendors
Manage onshore/offshore teams
5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and web applications, web services and integration with external systems
Experience with REST is a MUST
Well versed in web framework, design patters and complete development life cycle
Worked on databases – Oracle, mySQL, etc
Worked on Operating systems – Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris
Worked on Application servers like Tomcat, Weblogic, etc.
Worked on Web servers like Apache, etc.
Worked on Siteminder integration, user authentication and SSO technologies
Good documentation skills and experience in documenting requirements, doing design and help architect solutions
Should be able to mentor and direct team in task breakdown and providing estimates
Experience in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum methodologies
Liferay Portal and CMS experience would be preferred

Senior J2EE Solution Architect

Santa Clara, CA with possible remote after 2 weeks

Duration: 6 Months Extendable

Job Purpose: As part of the Professional Service's team, the solution architect plays a key leadership role requiring a mix of advanced technology savvy and strategic business acumen, including experience

architecting and developing enterprise applications. The Solution Architect will work with customers to align the client's OpenCase platform to their business needs – by providing strong technical leadership and architectural guidance in the delivery of our solutions.

Key Outcomes (Deliverables):

Key role in implementation and successful delivery of high end solutions for client clients.
Work with customers and sales prospects to translate the customer requirements into a working solution. Involves significant development and application configuration.
Architect and develop with a balanced view of key quality metrics such as performance, scalability, reliability and interoperability.
Participate in full lifecycle of an implementation including requirements definition, business analysis, system configuration and support.
Responsible for installation and configuration of client's core product (OpenCASE) in a customer's environment.
Support QA and acceptance test activities of custom solutions & implementations
Become subject matter expert in the Software/Hardware architecture of client's OpenCASE platform

Qualifications:

7-8 Years experience leading large complex J2EE integration projects.
Solid experience in J2EE Technologies ( JSP, Servlets, EJB, WebServices )
Good breadth of technical experience including: Messaging Middleware, Service Oriented Architectures, Web Services, XML, Java and Databases
Able to rationalize all architectural / design decisions in an objective manner
RDMS experience in MSSQL/Oracle
Strong experience with development methodologies such as XP, Agile or SCRUM
Experience in the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries
Exposure to a wide range of technologies including enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security and networking
Experience integrating enterprise technology platforms. Specifically: Video on Demand Systems,Content Management Systems, Subscriber Management, Commerce, Billing systems etc
Solid command of OOD principles / Design patterns using Java/J2EE
Strong communication, presentation, and advisory skills
Possess a strong technical background and willingness to learn
Prior professional services / consulting background
Willingness to travel.
