Job Title:    Config/Build Engineer

Location:    Wilmington, DE

Duration:    7+ Months

 

Face to face interview is required and client is willing to pay the expenses for face to face interview.

 

Summary: At least 5 to 7 years experience for the consulting role in CM and Build functions with 1 to 2 years in an agile development environment. Excellent communication skills.

 

Build & Release:

1. Create and maintain build scripts for JAVA(Maven) and .NET applications(MSBuild)
2. Expertise in using Maven to manage a project's build, reporting and documentation. Ability to write custom maven plugins is a plus.
3. Create and maintain deployment scripts of Java/J2EE Applications to any Application Server
4. Create and maintain deployment scripts of .Net applications to IIS Server
5. Expertise in developing scripts using windows batch scripting, LINUX Shell scripting, ant, perl, shell and beanshell
6. Expertise building and monitoring software projects continuously with a CI Tool like AnthillPro/Hudson/Cruise Control
7. Experience writing implementation plans for installing software components on build agents, and working with application services team to execute the install
8. Support QA regression deployments, monthly and weekly releases of applications 

Configuration Management:

1. 2 + years of experience of Subversion repository administration: create,load,dump and replay operations
2. Manage branching (create branches, execute merges) and labeling strategies in Subversion, Accurev and VSS
3. Provide direction to development teams on source code management for AGILE development teams
4. Participate in release coordination and communication to stakeholders
5. Create, manage and implement Configuration Management Plan
6. Train end users

 

Project / Process Automation Functions:

1. Administration on AntHillPro, Maven and Subversion, Accurev, VSS
2. Performing maintenance and upgrade of tools
3. Identify and implement integrations with other development tools such as VersionOne, etc

Continuous Improvement:

1. Implement tactical improvements for Configuration Management and Build and Release tools and processes
2. Develop expertise within the team.
