Job Title:  VMWare Engineer - Face to Face interview (Need Local)

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job Description: 

  • Define and document a "data dictionary" for VMware metrics by release (ESX/VC)
  • Define a repeatable process for establishing baselines for these metrics across the environment including remediation process to be used when a threshold is breeched.
  • Develop a VC Strategy for JPMC including:

 

o Tactical and strategic views on Federated VC vs Linked mode
o DR approach
o Load balancing across instances
o Lifecycle strategy
o Rolling upgrade process

  • GenY concerns
    o How do we deal with the large number of hosts/VC's
    o Improve and automate

 

  • Branch design
    o Build strategies for low bandwidth sites
  • Migration planning
  • Performance analysis – work with David Sullivan
  • Backup analysis
  • High priority "n" efforts for good potential constraints/fits
  • ESXi efforts
