• Client is trying to get insight to what their end users are doing on their computers; what applications they are using, how often, how long they take to load, browser use (type, sites, time on sites), what web based apps they are using.

• They are also interested in our ability to identify things that don't seem to behave normal – extreme load times, app crashes, RAM issues, connectivity problems, VPN dropping off and that kind of thing (all these mentioned as idiot examples to make the point)

• The goal of the engagement is for EMC to provide very broad insight into what the overall end user experience is as they KNOW it stinks and is a problem.

• They ARE interested in both raw data, metrics and numbers associated with the above…AND…they are interested in our analysis and summary assessment of what we "See" across the desktops – the good, bad, ugly, odd, weird, missing, etc, etc, etc.

• So the "Report" I keep referring to should contain the assessed intelligence that the EUC should offer, metrics to back up some of the "findings" and raw data as well.

• The report could contain, as ONE of its findings, info about the possibility of VDI, the benefits it would bring etc…but is WOULD NOT be in any way the main decision point.

• Client is NOT looking to go with VDI – they want to know what's happening in the trenches of their employee computers and with that insight they can validate some assumptions that they think are happening.

Job Title : UI/UX Designer
Location : Indianapolis, IN
Duration : 12+ Months Contract

Position:
Currently, we have an opening for a UI/UX Designer in our client's Indianapolis, IN office. You will design, develop and implement UI/UX solutions to successful completion. Specifically, the project involves participating on a team that is building an open platform for patient engagement in clinical research for a leading pharmaceutical company.

The responsibilities include:

design of user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications, design of reusable application components, working closely with the development team to implement applications, , and harmonized user experience across Lilly COI applications and social media platforms (blog, Twitter, Facebook, others TBD).You will not be directly responsible for the implementation of the UI for any applications, but if you're interested, we are using Angular.js, Twitter Bootstrap, D3, and other bits for our web applications. We're also doing native iOS development. The primary goal is to help define a consistent visual and interactive experience across our applications and lead the design of the user experience for existing and new applications. Here are some of the

Demonstrable competency in the following areas:
Information Architecture: Focus – The interface structure & navigation scheme. Design a UI structure that satisfies the business strategy, product strategy, and user strategy, which accommodates known requirements.

Interaction design:

Focus – The page-level layout, task fulfillment and component flow. Create rich user experience, though conceptual design, which integrates the latest UI patterns & components. This requires a "deep dive" into the minutia of page elements, presentation and page flow.

Usability Engineering:

Visual Design: Focus – The consistent visual treatment of elements & components. Create visual designs that communicate our brand within and across

Prototype Engineering: Focus – The functioning composition of proposed interactive components. Deliver prototypes of concept models for testing by usability engineering.
