Description:
• We are in search of a Windows .NET Developer to provide support to a large Manufacturing client in Indiana.
• This position is responsible for development and maintenance of Microsoft Visual Studio applications in a metals manufacturing environment.
• Candidate will work as team member to design and develop interactive solutions for business practices and problems.
• Ability to interpret and work creatively in cooperation with client business analysts and subject matter experts is a must.
Essential Functions:
• Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes with emphasis on planning, ordering, scheduling, order execution, reporting and finished goods.
• Develop code to meet business requirements
• Design, develop, test and install WinForms and Web based applications.
• Design, develop and maintain packages, procedures and functions utilizing Oracle PL/SQL.
• Design, develop and maintain reports in using multiple report developing packages.
• Ability to work independently and with local and remote teams on developing and implementing solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot, work through and resolve issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
Required Skills:
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010
• 2-5 years Net Visual Basic, C#
• Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
• Microsoft Office Excel
• Oracle 9/10g (11g a plus)
• Oracle PL/SQL (Queries, Packages, Procedures and Functions)
• Project based application development experience and familiarity with SDLC
Desired Skills:
• Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Project and Word.
• Software lifecycle development.
• Oracle Forms/Reports, SAP Business Objects
• ASP, Java, HTML, XML
• Visual Studio 6
