Qualifications
Expertise in programming within the .Net Framework and proficiency in the application of .Net methods and tools
In-depth historical knowledge of the C# programming language, object oriented programming and application architecture
Experience with Visual Studio 2010
Experience with Team Foundation Server
In-depth knowledge of ASP.NET and Classic ASP
Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or greater
Expertise in Oracle 10g
Training and experience in Microsoft Internet Server (IIS, version 6.0 or higher) programming
Proficiency with AJAX
Proficiency with HTML and XHTML
Proficiency with JavaScript
Proficiency with CSS
In-depth knowledge of Section 508 Compliance
Prior experience working with educational data, preferred

Providing strong analytical, organization, and problem solving skills
Respond to requests from the School Choice unit and provide technical assistance
Assist program staff in identifying needs and constraints of various users of web applications and analyze options and alternatives for application needs
Develop web applications which will support the programs and initiatives of the Office of Independent Education and Parental Choice
Participate with program staff in developing and conducting tests of application development process to ensure results meet user needs and regulatory requirements of school choice programs
Provide technical support to users as needed. Prepare technical and user documentation on all applications.
Maintain and troubleshoot applications, including integrating applications where appropriate and updating existing applications to current programming languages
Assist with research and policy analysis for the Office of Independent Education and Parental Choice, as assigned, including, but not limited to anticipating needs and resources necessary for proposed refinements and/or enhancements of school choice programs
Respond to user feedback to support continuous improvement of office services, and to maintain and enhance data integrity.
