Job Title : Network Engineer
Location : Chicago, IL(Must Be Local To IL)
Duration : 6+ Months Contract

Required Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in network design 3 years working with Microsoft Visio creating network diagrams
- Experience configuring CISCO Routers and Switches
-Valid **CCNP**
- Basic understanding of BGP Understanding of IP addressing and IP subnetting
- Able to configure, verify, and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, interVLAN routing, PVSTP+, and HSRP
- Basic understanding of Wide Area Networks Understand Network Address Translation
- Able to verify switch/router operation, device configuration and network connectivity using basic utilities (including: ping, traceroute, telnet, SSH, arp, ipconfig)
- At least 5 years of experience in network design 3 years working with Microsoft Visio creating network diagrams

Day-to-Day
This person will be working on the network engineering team for this company. They are looking for senior level network engineers who are very comfortable working in a CISCO shop. Their day to day work will consist of adding/replacing hardware, configuring routers/ switches and circuits. This person may be responsible for setting up networks in various locations across the country, so they need to have design experience. There is a lot of documentation involved in this persons day to day work as this is a very large company and they must document their changes.
