Job title     :  MicroStrategy Developer
Location    :  Boston, MA
Duration   :   6+ Months
Rate            :   $75/Hr

 

Job Responsibilities :
 Architect, design, develop and deliver solutions using MicroStrategy, WebFocus, Java, Oracle and Teradata
 Present high level technical solutions and propose alternatives to Sr Technical Leadership
 Lead the team of developers for delivering strategic projects
 Assist technology governance groups that defines policies, best practices and make design decisions in on-going projects 
 Mentor development teams regarding best practices and technology stacks used in solutions
 Support resource managers with resource forecasting and project estimates that augments resource staffing plans
 Perform technical screenings and help the leadership to hire the right resources
 Work in collaborative environments that follow agile project management methodologies like XP and Scrum
 Work with the leadership to define work that goes as an input for the new business opportunities

 

Required Skills :
 Recent experience and clear responsibilities in a Solution Architect capacity
 3 or more years of experience in MicroStrategy (Architect, Developer and Administration)
 1 or more years of experience in customizing MicroStrategy using MicroStrategy SDK
 End to end (evaluation, procurement to roll out) implementation of MicroStrategy for at least one customer
 Familiarity with all the components of MicroStrategy suite
 5 or more years of experience with Java and Java EE including web frameworks like Struts
 Working experience in Eclipse, configuration management tools like Harvest, CVS and SVN
 2 or more years of experience in IBI WebFocus
 Working experience in Teradata, Oracle including performance tuning and debugging performance bottlenecks
 Must have delivered 3 or more critical project in a lead capacity
 5 or more years of experience in leading a team of at least 8 developers
 Understanding of various estimation models and must have participated in estimation of at least 5 projects
 5 or more years of experience in on-site / offshore delivery model in a lead and coordinator capacity
 
Credentials
 BA/BS in computer science or related field
 MicroStrategy / Java training and certifications are beneficial

 

Responsibilities:
Web Application Designs and Architectures
Understanding of Logical and Physical Data Models
Java Application Server, JSP
Understanding of Business Intelligence applications (e.g. MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects, etc.)
Portal experience
HTML, CSS, XML
Understanding of OLAP
Experience in Teradata RDBMS
Experience in Metadata Schema Development  (MicroStrategy tool exp. Preferred)
