Job Title: SAS EBI Developer and SAS Data Integration Developers (Remote Work)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 Months
These are remote positions can be located anywhere. There are two phone screens and a decision will be made.
Req.1) SAS EBI Developer
General Responsibilities:
The SAS EBI Developer will have strong communication and thought leadership skills with creating reports using the SAS 9.2 EBI software suite, augmented by Base SAS skills and including Information Map Studio, SAS Stored Processes, Enterprise Guide, SAS/GRAPH, ODS, DATA step, SQL, & Macros. Services may include focus on:
- Leading or assisting with activities related to EBI project discovery, definition, design, development, and/or implementation of the SAS EBI environment, including actions that incorporate both reporting and distribution processes
- Understanding EBI requests and translating them into actionable reports from acquiring relevant data, modifying data if needed, building the reports, outputting the reports, etc.
- Utilizing Enterprise Guide and its functionality to create project flows which could include aspects of data access, manipulation, summarization, and report generation to a variety of output formats and channels, etc.
- Using Information Map Studio and its functionality to map physical data to business elements. (As an example, creating various types of prompts, filters, data elements, etc.)
- Using Web Report Studio and its functionality to create web reports. As an example, use filters and prompts created within information maps, provide report linking, modify report layouts, schedule reports to run automatically, etc.)
- Using the Information Delivery Portal as means for users to view reports. Creating portlets and content to these newly created or pre-existing portlets
- Creating various OLAP cubes using functionality of OLAP Cube Studio. As an example, creating various dimensions and hierarchies, drill-through, performance tuning, aggregations, member-level metrics, etc.
- Creating and using Stored Processes for the creation of customized web output.
Required Skills:
- Familiar with configuring SAS BI components:
· Troubleshoot and resolve BI related issues
· Design and development of reports, charts, interactive maps, data structures, OLAP cubes, ETL processes, stored procedures.
- Knowledge of metadata and data lineage
- 3+ years minimum exp SAS coding.
- 2+ years experience in the implementation, configuration, architecture of SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence suite of tools.
- 2+ years of experience in design, development, deployment of SAS Enterprise BI based applications and components.
- 2+ years of experience with design and implementation of SAS data architecture as used by SAS BI components (OLAP cubes, metadata, roles, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- SAS certification
Req. 2) SAS Data Integration Developers
General Responsibilities:
Works with LOB subject matter experts, technical business analysts, and project teams to integrate data into an end-to-end SAS data-mart solution for risk analytics and reporting using SAS Data Integration Studio 4.2. Uses Data Integration Studio ETL and traceability features to ensure data validity and auditing for LOB reporting and compliance with data QA standards. Maintains DI jobs, scheduling, maintenance and enhancements.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to perform as SAS developer using SAS Data Integration Studio.
- Experience in extracting, transforming and loading source data into the SAS environment from multiple sources including major DBMS and application system transaction files, third-party software packages, and spreadsheet applications.
- Understanding of ER and Dimensional Models
- Experience working with Version Control (SVN, CVS, PVCS)
- Experience working with a Scheduling Tool, preferably LSF
- Strong familiarity with Teradata development and execution environments, and state-of-the-industry reporting and data management tools.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in implementing and optimizing Windows-based SAS products within existing infrastructures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders: technical and end-user, staff and management.
- Ability to work independently.
