Role: Java Full Stack Developer with Scala and AWS
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: Long Term Contract
 
Technical/Functional Skills

• Four year college degree in a related field
• 3-5 years development experience in JAVA
• Experience Develop in Rest API preferably in Spring Boot framework
• 1-3 years hands on experience with Scala  
• 1-3 years hands on experience with Apache Spark
• Minimum of three years of experience in utilizing Hadoop (Hive, General HDFS knowledge) specifically Cloudera
• Minimum of 2 years operations experience
• Software Development, Deployment, Testing and Documentation Lifecycles
• 1-3 years of experience as an AWS architect with specific implementations of architecting of systems to solve real problems
• 1-3 years of experience in a hybrid cloud environment
• Good knowledge on Unix/Linux scripts
• AWS Big Data or Solutions Architect certification a plus
• Data Governance experience a plus
• Superb communication skills with an emphasis on writing and interpreting abilities as this is a leadership position in a new organization
• Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver
• Negotiates and explains technical solutions to non-technical staff
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment under tight schedules
• SQL, Scripting, etc.
• Data Analysis/Triage
• Data Quality
• Database Management
• Tableau & reporting/visualization

 
Roles & Responsibilities

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
