Job Title/Role : EDI Consultant

Location :  Fort Collins, CO

EDI Consultant having 5-10 years of experience in EDI in Unix/Linux environment. Requires hands on experience in development of Gentran maps and onboarding of new trading partners on EDI.

The person will help support EDI tool Gentran by working directly with client customers, 3PLs ( Third party logistics), business users on implementations, map changes and troubleshooting EDI failures and regular production support in the following transaction sets :

EDI 850/875 Purchase Order

EDI 810 Invoice Outbound

EDI 856 Advance Ship Notice Outbound

EDI 940 Shipping Order Outbound

EDI 888 Item Master Outbound

EDI 943 Stock Order Outbound

EDI 945 Shipping Advices Inbound

EDI 997s - Acknowledgement

EDI 860 Change order

EDI 816 organizational relationships

EDI 812 Credit / Debit Adjustment

EDI 820 Remittance Advice

EDI 823 Lockbox

EDI 852 Product Activity

EDI 855 Shipping Order Acknowledgement

EDI 846 Inventory

EDI 947 Inventory Adjustment

 

It is nice to have prior experience in Oracle Apps ERP environment to be able to perform following tasks:

Import orders

pick/ship, invoices

mockup data necessary for ASN

resending invoices

Detailed skill sets required:

Hands on experience in developing Gentran maps, making map changes, troubleshooting Gentran failures and writing EDI map specifications

Has performed end to end implementation of onboarding new trading partners on EDI

Good experience in testing EDI maps for EDI transaction sets listed above, able to mockup data to execute test scenarios.

Proficient in EDI ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards

Well versed with VAN, FTP, SFTP and AS2 connectivity setup

Good experience in new envelope setups, Gentran partners, workspace and Interchanges

Should be familiar with setting up of Gentran process events and their execution

Proficient in code list setups and updates

Familiar with Spec builder and various versions in EDI standards

Well versed in analyzing customer rejections - 864, 824 ad 997s, rectifying errors /co-ordinate with business for data issues.
