· 2-3 years of alert monitoring/management experience.

 

· Should be ITIL certified.

• Seeking a Senior Storage Architect with the following skills to provide presales and delivery for Storage solutions & Open Systems Consulting Services.
• In this client facing position, you will work directly with our clients, our sales teams and other storage resources. 
• The selected Architect will assess client's current storage environment and then develop storage solutions to meet their current requirements plus future growth. 
• The solution work will include configurations, implementation plans, conversion approaches and all aspects required to create a proposal and the details plans for implementation. 
• Once an order is obtained, the Architect will be participate directly or manage others in the implementation of the solution(s). 
• On complex implementations, you may be the SME who performs the work, on other implementations you may provide oversight to other storage consultants. 
• Time will be invested with key clients in establishing a true "storage trusted advisor" relationship which will happen after multiple client meetings and solution implementations. 
• The Architect will develop and/or provide final review/approval of artifacts that define the architecture of the solution. 
• You will demonstrate a strong capability in synthesizing information on solution design, established architectural principles, current state of the art technologies, 3rd Party products and industry standards to formulate or review the system architecture that meets the client requirements. 
• Ability to deliver within the desired timeframe is critical as projects are subject to defined time constraints. 
• Review and validate project artifacts, solution designs, estimates and sizing for quality, accuracy, completeness and adherence to the original requirements and design parameters. 
• Also, provide mentoring and team leadership to other architects and developers and freely shares expertise and knowledge with peers throughout Unisys with an initial focus in North America.

We seek incumbents who have broad experience such as:

• Existing/valid EMC Architect certification, either Advanced Consolidate or Consolidate TA 

Expert level experience with EMC products/platforms: 

• VMAX, VNX, Data Domain, Avamar, Recover Point, Data Protection Advisor, Networker, SRDF Family, Timefinder and Disk Library for Mainframes/IBM 
• Recent, strong experience in EMC storage environments delivering complex data migrations and storage consolidation
• Architecture design and implementation of advanced storage solutions including re-tiering, de-duplication, compression, encryption, key management, compliance, thin provisioning, backup modernization, big data and Private or Hybrid Cloud Storage 
• Knowledgeable in other products: NetApps, Fujitsu, Hitachi, HP and IBM (certifications desirable) 
• Experienced in storage virtualization with an understanding of EMC VPLEX and IBM's San Volume Controller (SVC) 
• Demonstrated experience in leading projects, implementation teams and clients in SAN configuration and assessment services, requirements gathering, storage implementations, data migration and application testing 
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery management solutions (both EMC and other products)

Position : 1

Jobtitle : Application Developer
Location : Corning NY
Duration : 12+ Months Contract

 

Purpose of Position:
To design, code, implement, support and maintain Information Technology applications, both as an individual performer and as a member of a project team.  Support the daily operations of the business.  Provide analysis, design and coding support for business enhancements to the system.  Maintain adherence to company standards and procedures.

 

Major Responsibilities:
Lead small to medium size projects.
Maintains existing client server and web based applications.
Recommends and develops information system projects that improve manufacturing efficiencies and product quality.
Assume leadership for own portion of large projects
Use standard methodologies to carry out projects and tasks
Develop application interfaces that are tailored to the user needs and are integrated with new and existing systems.
Develop accurate, efficient, and user friendly computer programs
Provide problem solving assistance in one or more applications or technical areas
Apply knowledge and judgment to problem situations
Provide services which adhere to standards and established procedures
Monitor service levels and actively look for ways to improve service efficiency and effectiveness
Test, debug, and document programs to ensure desired customer requirements are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Interact with users in defining and analyzing a problem
Participation in an after hour on-call rotation is a requirement (approximately every 5 weeks).

 

Required Skills:
Application platform experience (such as VB6 or .NET) with a primary focus on supporting complex business processes.
Database skills preferably in Microsoft SQL.
Troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex applications.
Knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Active Directory and IIS.
Project management – ability to manage to completion small to medium scale projects.

 

Experience Requirements:
4 Year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering 
Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience

 

Desired Experience/Skills:
Extensive application design, development, and delivery experience.
Extensive Microsoft SQL database programming/administration skills
Expert knowledge of business process mapping and documentation of business requirements, system design, and technical standards.
Experience with the multi-user MES interfaces.
Microsoft SSRS reporting experience.
Experience using Team Foundation Server.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience developing and debugging SQL Server stored procedures.

Jobtitle : Application Support

Location : Corning NY

Duration : 12+ Months Contract

Major Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

Microsoft .net aspx programming experience

Application platform experience (such as VB6 or .NET) with a primary focus on supporting complex business processes.

Database skills preferably in Microsoft SQL.

SQL Programming

Troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex applications.

Knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Active Directory and IIS.
