· Ability to understand C/C++ code and create plugins for tools

· Ability to potentially automate the system application testing

Role : Micro Strategy Administrator

Duration: 4 months – with possible extension

Location: Advance, NC or Arcadia, WI

Role Description
•System Administration
o Maintenance Install, configure and maintain Micro Strategy software releases; conduct analysis for new releases/upgrades and make recommendations as appropriate. Perform and schedule software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software packages, and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

· Implement best practices in change management and have prior experience in using Object Manager.

· Create and maintain user security roles, security filters and ACL's per requirements.

· Experienced in installation, configuration of Enterprise Manager.

· Experienced in creating custom enterprise manager reports.

· Experienced in using Command Manager.

· Develop Command Manager Scripts and procedures as needed.

· Experienced in using systems manager.

· Experienced in using Integrity Manager.

· Experienced in configuring Micro Strategy mobile server

· Experienced in Micro Strategy cache management and memory management

Monitoring
•   Experience with Enterprise Manager, Operations Manager
•   Monitoring/managing overall system health
•   Monitoring/tuning environment configuration and settings
•   Monitoring/advising for addressing long running reports
•   Periodic auditing/reporting for inactive users

Installation, configuration, upgrading of software components for major/minor/patch releases
o   Support performance testing, etc.
o   Aid in developing/implementing/testing disaster recovery strategy and mechanisms for Micro Strategy architecture
o   Capacity planning and management

•   Troubleshooting/Issue Resolution
o   Help reproduce production issues for logging tickets with Tech Support
o   Analyze Intelligence Server and Web Server logs while troubleshooting
o   Change logging settings if needed
o   Run queries against SQL Server databases as required for issue research
o   Submitting and managing issues and enhancement cases with Micro Strategy for administration/environment related items

•   Deployments

• Object Manager / Command Manager

o    •   Task automation using System Manager, Command Manager, integration with CI/CD tools
o   Support development teams via object/code migrations across environments
o   Develop mechanisms for deploying Micro Strategy project and configuration changes across the various environments

•   User/Group Provisioning
o   Support development teams with user/group security provisioning
o   Aid in automating user provisioning
