Job Title: Sr DataStage Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 8+ Months

Description:

Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing, supporting, maintaining, enhancing and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.

 

Skill Set (Must):

•        8+ years of experience working in a high volume DataStage 8.5 environment.

•        Expert in developing Oracle procedures, functions, packages, database triggers and troubleshooting using PL/SQL and SQL.

•        Experienced in implementing advanced features of Oracle like Autonomous Transactions, Ref-Cursors, PL/SQL Tables, Table Partitioning, V-Arrays, Materialized Views, Merge statements, SQL*Loader, External Tables, Pipelined/Table functions, Result Cache, With Clause and Multi Table Inserts.

•        Strong experience on Mainframe DB2 environment.

•        Strong experience writing JCL Unloads, handling VSAM files and automation.

•        Vast experience troubleshooting performance issues, SQL tuning is a must.

•        4+ years of strong hands on experience working on Pentaho PDI (Candidates with Pentaho BI will not be considered).

•        Strong hands on deep pocket experience with PERL, Unix Shell scripting and crontab.

•        Experience with converting EBCDIC to ASCII.

•        Strong hands on experience on automation tool Tivoli Workload Scheduler.

•        Strong Data Analysis and Data Profiling experience.

•        Evaluate and understand a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models.

•        Develop ETL code meeting100 percent of technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs.

•        4+ years of experience in applications systems analysis and/or development and/or support.

•        4+ years of experience with multiple file structures and programming languages.

•        4+ years of experience with high level technical phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities

•        Thorough understanding of technological infrastructure and how it relates to projects is a plus

•        4+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL Server in an Unix environment.

•        4+ years of experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)

•        Experience with any SSH client.

•        Healthcare domain background is a plus / Clinical domain experience is a plus / Knowledge with HIE formats 837 i&p, HL7/ADT is a plus.
