Job role: Data Engineer (AWS and Python) Location: Palo Alto CA Duration: Long Term

Role & Responsibilities The Data Team is responsible for building and operating the Data Warehouse and Analytic systems. The ETL processes, Anomaly Detection and Analytic Dashboards operate at near real time at scale. We work as a cross-functional/full stack team in a fully secure data environment with PII, Client and Country requirements. Using AWS and Python as primary language. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the following: - Develop ETL Pipelines, Dashboards and Analytics end-to-end from design to release
- deployment.
- Partnering with Product, Engineering and Business Operations to enable data informed decision making across the org.
- Creating and enhancing Data Models and Architectures to support new analysis and research efforts.
- Doing thorough QA and testing to meet the specifications, data and calculation
- accuracy, 24x7 robustness and scale performance.
- Partnering with DevOps, Engineering and Infrastructure to enable better data analysis.
- Maintaining a fully secure data environment following Nauto standards.
- Improving our internal processes, Agile methods and management tools so we operate at our best as a team internally, with Nauto and our Customers.
- Participating in our 24x7 on-call support rotation. (approx. 1 week per month)
Qualifications - B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a similar quantitative field
- 2+ years of experience in a data intensive industry
- Experience with OLAP and Data Warehouse environments
- Proficiency in a major programming and/or a scripting language (Python, GO, Java, C++, Scala etc.) With Python knowledge incl: Pandas & SciKit.
- Excellent SQL skills
- Jira, Confluence
- A commitment to data accuracy and security
- Experience with building and operating 24x7 production systems.
Pluses: Needs 60% combination of these - Use to Vet, list in submittals please - Experience with AWS ECS, EMR, Lambda
- Experience with logging, Kibana, Spectrum
- Experience with NoSQL and Big Data Technologies
- Experience with microservices and API construction
- Experience with containerization technology
- Experience with Performance Monitoring and Tuning
- Experience administrating Redshift
- Extensive Data Mining experience
- Statistics and Time Series analysis
- Notebook Perspectives ie: Jupitor Notebooks - The Data Science team hands-off to this team via notebooks
- Experience with Alerting Systems (per call)
- Geospacial niche experience, and/or Machine Learning
