Job Description
"Client" is looking to onboard a solution architect that will work across multiple PSPS (Public Safety Power Shut Off) products. (Client specific products that shut down power proactively depending on weather conditions to not cause fire.)
Technology space includes AWS, ESRI, big data and reporting (eg Tableau), API, and Salesforce, along with common technology components (i.e., AD, PingFederate, SiteMinder).
PSPS Viewer, PSPS Connected Data, Officer in charge dashboard, Door Knock Process, PSPS Field Inspection, Message Broadcast integration, and a few other efforts.
Top Required Skills:
Experience working as a Solution Architect
Good experience with AWS
Application migration to AWS experience
Experience with Data Analytics and working with ESRI or GIS data
Salesforce experience is a plus
This person should know how to use Active Directory, Site Minder, or PingFederate - - understanding constructs around security and authorization, data segmentation, etc. (This should be in the wheelhouse of architect.)
Previous "Client" experience is nice to have…
Responsibilities:
PSPS Viewer – currently refactoring in AWS. Today the product runs a bunch of CSV files, which are files of customer details.
The SA will look at PSP Viewer architecture for integrations with other products that occur around Viewer.
PSPS Connect Data – the goal is to bring in data from Viewer and other systems into 1 data pipeline and reports on top of that. (Ex: Take file and have API's to bring data over to next bucket of where data needs to go.) This is built on AWS.
The SA will analyze to figure out what to use how to present data in different tools like Tableau or Red Shift
Integrations to PSPS Field Inspection – product exists in own architecture in mobile space
The SA will need to be able to articulate patterns for API's from one product to another.
