We have an urgent requirement for a Search Engineer . This is a Contract position based in McLean, VA.

Role: Search Engineer
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: Long Term Contract
Competencies:  Python, ELK Stack, Ansible, Kubernetes, Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, Jenkins
Experience (Years): 6-8

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of experience and Expert knowledge with the Elasticsearch platform built an enterprise level ES solution before, preferably more than once.
• Experience upgrading Elasticsearch versions
• Expert knowledge on ELK (Elasticsearch, qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqa and Kibana)
• Expert knowledge in Java, memory management, fine tuning etc.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong Analytical and Communication skills
• Experience in K8s deployment of microservices Knowledge of coding in java/scala or python
• Experience in deployment of ECK on Kubernetes , Elasticsearch cluster, Kibana instance etc.
• Hands-on experience in Configuration of ECK, Webhook validation along with
• Troubleshooting knowledge Deep knowledge on Kubernetes 1.12+ and Openshift 3.11+
• Expert on AKS, EKS services to understand the containerization and security around it
   

Role Description:

• Design and implement ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack solutions
• Create and manage Elasticsearch Clusters on premise.
• Fine tune bulk load process.
• Provide Elastic Search tuning/optimizing based on application needs.
• Well versed with Java REST client API.
• Create Dashboard on KPIs Contribute to team design discussions with detailed technical information Develop code with quality, scalability and extensibility Provide work breakdown and estimates for complex software development tasks Identify strategic/tactical solutions and provides risk assessments and recommendations Current environment is Windows, we need to switch to Linux
   

Desirable Skills

• AWS Certification Experience operating, troubleshooting, and scaling online services
• Good to have -Experience with implementing and optimizing Elasticsearch ingestion processes.
• Good to have -Understanding of Elasticsearch deployment and operational maintenance.
• Experience with Change Management processes and functions
