The Data Modeler is responsible for designing and enhancing conceptual, logical and physical, dimensional and semantic data models for DB2 and Oracle operational, decision support and data warehouse databases. The architect works closely with business users on resolving all data related business rules, open database design, data integration and related technical issues. The day to day tasks and responsibilities for Data Modeler Consultant include, but are not limited to the following:

•Review current state activities to include the review of the goals and objectives of the Information Management group within State Fund, the oversight responsibilities, and strategic involvement recommendations.

•Assist in the creation of an enterprise operational data store and analytical data warehouse

•Review of existing reporting and analytics tools for potential reduction in technology footprint

•Provide expert enterprise data models to facilitate the construction of various data management systems such as MDM, ODS, Data Warehouse and Data Marts.

•Create an extensible conceptual, logical and physical data models with a full lifecycle management of capturing, versioning and migrating various metadata across environments using ERwin and/or ER/Studio Platforms.

•Create normalized, dimensional and data vault models for DB2 and Oracle Database Platforms by establishing standards, guidelines and best practices.

•As needed, reverse engineer the existing systems and analyzing the data to extract hidden business semantics and structures.

•Create advanced SQL and stored procedures and design solutions for optimal transactional as well as analytical performance in DB2 and/or Oracle Database Platforms.

•Work with various application development teams to provide data integration architecture services and data modeling services

•Support mainframe and Oracle development teams to organize different phases of project testing and participate in the test result verification to insure data related business rules compliance

•Perform metadata analysis and normalized logical data model as the result of merging user perspectives, or integrating a user perspective into an existing data model

•Develop physical data model as the result of translating the scoped part of the logical model in a structure of DBMS objects for a transactional or data warehouse database.

•Develop dimensional data model as the result of denormalizing and dimensioning for a data mart.

•Insure the approved DRWs (Data Request Worksheet) are implemented correctly.

•Data architecture support for the data structure and data contents of the Universal database

•Support all new projects with designing new data schemas and proposing enhancements of existing data schemas

•Assist in the development of methodologies, conventions, and best practices for data architecture as required.

•Assist in the development of an enterprise data model.

•Create and maintain Data architecture standards and procedures including DRW procedures, UDR procedures and naming standards.

•Act as primary or back-up for data architecture support of any of the databases that State Fund can enhance internally, as required

•Provide peer review for data model and database design changes done by other data architects.

•Support for modeling tools including Model Manager Administration, ERwin or ERStudio use, install, upgrade and technical support.

•Support automated reference table population from validation rules, and automated audit trigger generation using Macro scripts

•Design and support complex DB2 and Oracle data models.

•Share knowledge and mentor other team members/staff.

Resource Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Consultant shall ensure that all resources assigned to the project have the education, training and experience necessary to render the services in a competent and efficient manner. Experience, Knowledge Level, and Technical Skills The expert data modeler will have a proven record of accomplishment in designing and developing data models in DB2 and Oracle environments. The Consultant Resource should possess a strong analytical and technical background with strong background with data warehouse concepts and experience supporting development teams. The Consultant resource shall possess most of the following technical knowledge and experience:

•Extensive hands-on experience in modeling enterprise data models to facilitate the construction of various data management systems such as MDM, ODS, Data Warehouse and Data Marts.

Job Description:

The Business Analyst (BA) position is to help a software development group rollout a new state-of-the-art, fraud management software solution for Medicaid and Medicare claims processing.
The BA works side-by-side with potential Verizon customer and internal project teams (Sales, Healthcare Principal, Software Development Team) to elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and manage business, user, functional and non-functional requirements in support of general solution enhancements, Customer Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and Customer-specific system enhancements.
The business analyst works closely with internal business and software development team members. The key to the position is the ability to solicit requirements and create system rule specifications documentation so that the software development team can write user stories (in a test driven, agile software development methodology environment) that are fit-for-purpose. The BA will help resolve cross-functional issues.

Qualifications:
• At least 10 years experience as a business analysis
• Healthcare experience in Medicaid and/or Medicare claims processing is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of management and excellent teamwork skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong consulting skills
• Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group
