Skills Required and Job Description:
| MOI: Telephonic and Face to Face Description - Responsibilities include designing technical specification, developing and maintaining middle tier and some web applications, analyzing and troubleshooting
- Responsible for analyzing requirements, determining technical approach & technical design, determining effort, and providing deliverable dates for projects and enhancement requests
- Collaborating with Technology team members to design and develop middle-tier and some web backend systems.
- Researching & prototyping new technologies and providing recommendations for application improvement.
- Mentor & provide development guidance to the junior engineers
- Additional responsibilities include documenting product functionality, supporting QA and deployment activities, troubleshooting production defects
Skills Required: - 6 years of experience and strong background in object-oriented programming experience with C# and .NET 4.0/3.0, including experience in designing & implementing software patterns, components in multiple application layers.
- Experience building Web services enabled applications
- Strong problem solving skills required
- Excellent proactive communications and planning skills
- Comfortable working in a matrix team
- Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects
- Working knowledge of design patterns and UML
- Able to self-manage and required to lead certain projects
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of WCF and Web Services protocols such as SOAP, JSON and REST
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Data Access methods from ADO.NET to EF models.
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of C# and OO patterns such Factory pattern, Dependency Injection, IoC
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows Service development
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development best practices
- Experienced with TFS, Branching and Merging best practices, Visual Studio.
Skills Preferred but Not Required: - Windows Workflow Foundation
- Experience with W3C standard & browser compatibility best practices
- Experience with B2C, high traffic websites, focusing on ecommerce
- Experience with different software engineering methodologies (AGILE, XP, Waterfall)
- Presentable portfolio of development work, online desired
- Some knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT, Photoshop CS3/CS4)
- Prefer experience with ASP.NET and Microsoft MVC technologies.
- Prefer experience with implementing a Content Management System – Tridion CMS or other
- Experience with JavaScript libraries (jQuery)
- Strong background in data modeling and database design concepts
- Strong knowledge of database stored procedures, triggers, and views
- Prefer knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques....
