Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Southwest Twin Cities, MN
Duration: 13 months

This is a hand on QA Tester role and the person needs to have experience with hands on testing. Leads/Managers would not be a fit for this opportunity.
The person needs to have QTP Background
Strong scripting experience and automation of web services is a must have for this opportunity
Some of the key skills essential for the job are as follows:
Experience with VB scripting
Experience with XML experience
Database Testing
The team uses QTP AND UFT for testing.
Open to local & non-local; with an option of phone or skype depending on the candidates location
Front End testers would not be a fit for this role as the person hired would be responsible for middleware testing.

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
Reports to Platform QA Manager
Collaboratively coordinates testing of program solution with business requirements & designs.
Responsible for automating functional as well as regression suite via QTP scripting, using keyword driven and data driven framework.
Responsible for automating webservices using QTP and Lisa Test.
Works collaboratively with integrated enterprise systems to complete end-to-end automated testing.
Develop, Maintain, and Execute test scenarios, both manual and automated.
Creates and maintains test plans, cases/scripts, traceability matrix and various testing checklists.
Responsible for platform environment validation throughout the deployment process.
Produces statistics and track metrics on QA testing against the plan and drive improvement ideas based on those metrics
Proactively work on automation roadmap and drive towards continual improvement of the automated regression testing suite.
Proactively identify ways to improve quality of the automated testing.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Project Managers, and Developers
Collaborate with other Mobile platform QA leads and develop automated testing strategies to create consistent, repeatable and thorough automated testing framework through Mobile.
Continuously improve QA practices to improve team's productivity and product quality, including agile practices.

5+ years in Quality Assurance and working within software industry in an Agile development environment, building web based systems.
Experience with cross-functional and remote teams for delivering quality products on a tight schedule.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers and customers
Knowledge of testing with web services and troubleshooting issues
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Retail market sector
The ideal candidate will have experience managing 5-8 concurrent projects
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of managing their own workload as well as the workload of others on the team.
Must be comfortable in an agile, fast-paced, evolving environment
