Summary
The candidate must have proven experience as a big data engineer will be responsible for designing solutions for complex data management and strategies with core software components and frameworks that are loosely coupled and horizontally scalable. This a hands on role in all phases of the Agile process while working with cross-functional team members - Development Leads, Quality Engineers, DBAs, and Product - in a highly collaborative development environment
Role and Responsibilities
Continually build skills of colleagues through peer collaboration, mentoring and training
Work with rest of the team to define Hadoop ecosystem architecture and various components such as HDFS, Big Data eco system (Oozie, Storm, Spark, Spark streaming, Kafka, Zookeeper, Scala DSL) and Map Reduce programming paradigm
Participate in developing and upgrading existing Pig Scripts
Develop on NoSQL data stores (HBase and Mongo DB) - and implement HBase coprocessors
Develop data orchestration workflows using Schedoscope, Falcon and Oozie
Participate in complete project life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation) of Java Web applications
Develop Restful services and deploy on J2EE Application servers like JBoss and Apache Tomcat web server
Develop workflows in Activiti using Spring/Spring Boot.
Develop UDFs and coprocessor logic in J2EE, J2SE, Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC.
Experience, Qualifications, and Education
Over 5 years of professional IT experience with 2+ years of experience in Big data ecosystem and related technologies like Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, HBase and implementing Map/Reduce jobs to support distributed data processing and process large data sets utilizing the Hadoop cluster.
Working experience with large scale Hadoop environments build and support including design, configuration, installation, performance tuning and monitoring.
Excellent understanding / knowledge of Hadoop architecture and various components such as HDFS, Big Data eco system (Oozie, Storm, Spark, Spark streaming, Kafka, Zookeeper, Scala DSL) and Map Reduce programming paradigm.
Experience in NoSQL data stores (HBase and Mongo DB) - Experience in implementing HBase coprocessors is a big plus
Beneficial to have experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and OLAP technologies
Experience in complete project life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation) of Java Web applications.
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis, Design (OOAD) and development of software using UML Methodology, good knowledge of J2EE design patterns and Core Java design patterns.
Working knowledge of configuring data orchestration using Schedoscope, Falcon and Oozie a big plus.

· Need Top-end Senior Java/J2EE Developer. Open-source Java Developer types
o Submit anyone who is a really good Senior Java Developer – 10+ years
· Looking for "full-stack" senior developers (they will hire both "more front end" & "more back end" candidates)
o They are working on Java 8 – need Developer with at least Java 1.7Heavy Agile
o Heavy Spring MVC
o Paired programming – they have to be cool with this
o Test Driven Development (TDD)
o Front-end with AngularJS is key
o NoSQL databases (desired)
o GIT for version control (desired)
o Spring Boot on backend (it's a plus)
