Job Role: IT Security Analyst

Location: Des Moines IA 
Duration:  12+ Months

 

****Must be local as face to face interview required*****

****Best rates $40/hr on C2C****

 

The Security Analyst (SA) has an understanding of all aspects of computer and network security, including such areas as firewall administration, encryption technologies, and network protocols.

4 to 7 years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

Required Skills:

Understanding of all aspects of computer and network security

Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with detection and identification of possible cyber-attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse

Experience with validating Intrusion Detection System (IDS) alerts against network traffic using packet analysis tools

Experience recognizing, analyzing and triaging malware

Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux/Unix, operating systems

Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite. (SQL, PowerShell, or scripting)

Previous experience in a security operations center (Plus)
