Job Role: Sr. ATG Developer

Location: Columbus OH

Duration: Long Term

Senior ATG Developer is responsible for working various Digital Commerce Technology projects. The Senior Developer must be a skilled on-line retail technologist that will implement client website software design, development, and support testing. Candidates must have previous experience with the ATG platform with ATG version 11+ being strongly preferred. This position reports to the Manager, ATG Platform and has no direct reports.

 

Technologies:

• Endeca, ATG eCommerce Platform v10.0+, Java, Spring, JSP, Javascript, JMS, Web Services, JBoss, Apache, Maven, Oracle, CSS, HTML, XML, SQL, GIT, Eclipse, AJAX, Objective-C

• GIT Source Control Experience

• Agile development technologies, such as Cucumber, Calabash, Bamboo, Jira, Confluence

• Establish successful working and support relationships with DSW.com leaders and staff in infrastructure, merchandising, marketing, and operations areas

• Mentor team's developers on coding standards and best practices

• Achieve results through being highly motivated

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, internal customers, and external partners

• Maintain a positive and exciting work environment that supports and rewards people based on performance

• Work with other client development teams to create new cross-functional integrations, or maintain existing ones

• Utilize existing Java/ATG development experience to guide development lifecycle through potential pitfalls and establish "best practice" JavaEE development standards

• Analyze customer business requirements and software/product objectives; develop an application design in products to meet customer needs.

• Translate management and creative content requirements into architectural design

• Communicate with external vendors for development efforts (Scene 7, Omniture, Bazaarvoice, Akamai, Gift Card Vendors)

 

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of total experience

• 5+ years ATG eCommerce Platform v10.0+ experience

• 2-3 years eCommerce Java Development experience

• Experience working in an agile environment and with test driven development

• Experience in full life cycle JavaEE solution implementation from conceptualization, requirements, design and specification through development (coding), QA/debugging, integration testing, deployment and follow-up support.

• Broad understanding of eCommerce technology tools, providers and trends

• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills

• Must possess a strong attention to detail, superior follow-up skills and be results oriented

• Knowledge and understanding of retail industry a plus

• Experience in business interactions, requirements analysis, and web development methodologies

• Ability to integrate in a rapidly changing environment.

• Excellent planning skills and a proactive approach

• Excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlines

• Strong oral/written communications and analytical skills

• Decisive and results oriented

• Creative, strategic thinker and solutions-minded

• High performance individual who expects the same from others and teaches by example
