Job Title : Systems Architect
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 12+ Months
Skills:
Analyze, design and implement information technology systems and solutions to meet business, organizational and technical requirements.
Identify the detailed requirements of users and clients and prepare detailed project plans for meeting these requirements.
Identify the various options to resolve problems and meet users' requirements and assess their suitability.
Prepare a detailed specification for any proposed solution.
Discuss any proposed solution with programmers, other technical staff and end users to ensure its technical viability and to identify any problems.
Test any proposed solution to ensure its effectiveness before final implementation.
Assist in the implementation of any new system, taking any remedial action as necessary, to ensure that it is working effectively.
Provide any necessary documentation and technical support following implementation to end users.
Train users in the new system to ensure that it continues to work effectively and to their satisfaction.
Develop, coordinate and facilitate software migration to production and lower environments.
IBM WebSphere application server
MS SQL Server 2014
Linux OS and Windows 2012
Windows and Linux OS systems administrator experience including installation, maintenance and configuration
Extensive Windows and Linux OS troubleshooting experience
Excellent analytical skills
Good communication skills.
Understanding of the following areas is preferred:
Declarative programming concept
COTS integration using COTS specific APIs and ESB products like WebMethods, IIB or WebLogic
WebSphere MQ/MSMQ
Understanding of Declarative programming concepts and system integration using COTS components such as Security, Enterprise Service Bus, Document Management and/or Business Rule Engine
Bash shell scripting
Experience with Nagios, Splunk & New Relic APM
