1. Oracle Apps Technical – 4 -8 yrs exp
Job Descriptions :
- Someone who is a "generalist" in Oracle development with excellent hands on work experience and can handle: pl/sql development, OM/Requisition WF Development, CUSTOM.PLL modification, Discoverer reporting and light to moderate forms / reports customization
- Primary strength should be in OM (Order Import, pricing, customer creation and modification, use of APIs, etc)
- Should be knowledgeable about the order to cash process (order creation, shipping, AR)
- Ability to work within Oracles framework of APIs but also able to do complete customization when necessary
- Can do shell scripting / light perl development as necessary on a Linux environment
- A person who can work on "light" requirements at times, think abstractly and produce iterative results
Must be able to:
- Do performance tuning of own and others PL/SQL code (Explain Plans, Traces, query rewrites, etc)
- Understand process flows for functional operation and do unit testing of code / programs
- Strong learning ability to catch up on business process
- Communicate well to technical and non-technical groups
- Understand how to make HTTP(or web services) calls from within PL/SQL
- Troubleshoot/trace production issues, logs, code
- Be able to work on multiple projects / tickets at a time
- Primary focus will be on break fix / minor enhancement work, with occasional projects
Overall - Need a very strong technical resources with extensive experience on OM (SCM), pl/sql ( performance tuning), workflow (development/modifications) and who can work on support projects.
2. Oracle Apps DBA - 4-7 yrs exp

5. Managing ASM disks and instances
6. Working with Oracle Clusterware
7. Backing up voting disks on RAW partitions Database patching Quarterly CPU patches Scriptong clones from prod to nonprod environments Troubleshooting performance problems including: designating application patches to fix oracle apps code, doing traces and analysis on custom code to recommend query re-writes, indexing or restructures Doing custom code rollouts including: new / custom forms, reports, custom.pll, discoverer reports, pl/sql code, java packages, db parameters, etc.
8. Creating custom monitoring utilizing OEM and Nagios
9. Patch clean up (clearing out old patches, maintaining file system)
10. Continuous performance monitoring
11. Concurrent Manager monitoring / tuning / troubleshooting (concurrent jobs, log/out files, FNDFS listeners, archive and purge of data)
12. Application Server management / monitoring (Apache, Jserv, etc)
13. Developer Support (best practices, table definitions, review of database changes, etc)
Example projects include:
14. Moving oracle apps to RAC
15. Upgrading to OATM
16. Migrating hardware within a cluster
17. Changing from a 32 bit to a 64 bit architecture Implementing dataguard, active dataguard and having hot standby site
18. DR Setup and DR testing
What we need in a person:
19. 24x7 availability (rotating shifts so we get to see people regularly) Video conferencing capability (not sure that they don't have it, just making sure that they do have it) Ability to work fairly independently Experience administering Oracle on a linux environment (ability to write Shell scripts, cron jobs, modify and enhance PERL code)
20. Experience in or ability to work in a SOX / PCI regulated environment
Overall who is good in Apps dBA, dataguard,ASM,RAC and updgrades.
