Need Senior Database/BI Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration -6 Months
Locals will be preferred
The Senior Database/BI Developer works closely with database architect/designer and the rest of the development team (including UI developers) with a focus on the design and development of the data, reporting and BI solutions for large complex data-centric software systems.
Responsibilities:
· Perform technology/tools evaluation and software technical proof of concepts with a focus on Database and BI tools
· Develop applications that use Stored Procedure, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and MS SQL Server 2005/2008 databases
· Data Modeling with ER concept and tools
· Perform the integration test with windows and web interfaces
· Debug and troubleshoot with combination of database components and C# application
· Work together with production DBA to perform database administration planning, design and support
· Troubleshoot technical issues in a 3rd tire support role for production environment
· Mentor junior members from both onshore and offshore team
· Work closely with both onshore and offshore team to deliver application solutions
Technical Skills:
· 5+ years current experiences in application development using SQL Server 2005/2008 and stored procedure with large database
· 5+ years of experience in database design using ER modeling tools
· 3+ years current experience with Microsoft SQL Business Intelligent Tools (SSRS, SSIS and SSAS)
· Knowledge and skills with application development using C#.Net and ASP.Net is a definite asset
· Familiar with full software development lifecycle
Personal Skills:
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently to implement designs
· Ability to work effectively and independently within a team environment
· Ability to participate project planning and estimation efforts
· Strong documentation and communications skills
· Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
· Experience of working with offshore team is a plus
Education:
Minimum 4 year bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
