Job Description:
Experience level Requirements: B.S degree or more in Computer Science, Systems and/or appropriate certifications A minimum of 5 years of UNIX/Linux System administration, or 2nd/3rd level UNIX/Linux application support with Service Provider/ Enterprise Previous experience in a financial environment is preferred
Technical Skills and Abilities: Advanced understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems;

Technical Skills and Abilities: Advanced understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems; Linux or Solaris-10 is a must Troubleshooting and deployment experiences with FIX engines is definitely a plus Advanced knowledge of best practices pertaining to UNIX/Linux distributed systems in enterprise class environments Broad knowledge of Sun hardware and another key hardware vendor (Dell, HP, etc.) Solid knowledge of truss/strace/dtrace (process tracing), including command-line options.
Should be able to describe what the program is doing based upon these tools Significant experience with tools geared to understand a machine's behavior: iostat, vmstat, netstat, sar, lsof, top or other UNIX/Linux utilities that can give similar results Understanding of TCP/IP stack and related configuration in a UNIX/Linux environment LDAP, NFS, DNS, NTP, and SMTP Demonstrated ability with Shell programming such as bash and Perl
