Job Title: Business Process Analyst
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and articulate customer issues and translate them into business requirements or data metrics.
- Lead workshops, interviews and other information gathering activities specifically to derive process structure and measures
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the customers operations and assigned functional areas.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems
- Act as a liaison between business units and data warehouse team relative to operational processes and supporting data.
- Perform return on investment analysis for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Develop new or improved processes based on findings and analysis.
- Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to various levels of information consumers.
- Develop plans and timeframes for process changes in order to support company objectives.
Qualifications
- College degree in the field of computer science or information technology
- 8+ years Business Process Analyst work experience
- Familiar with architecture and process modeling tools
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling
- Must have experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and define future needs and operations based upon use case and architectural analysis of alternatives
- In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering
- Strong experience in leading and conducting requirements gathering sessions
- Ability to review and write technical documents
- Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean preferred
- Knowledgeable about ITIL preferred
- Experience participating in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
- Strong customer service orientation.
