Position: Ruby on Rails developer
Location: Boston, MA or Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months Contract + extendable

Responsibilities:
• Execute Development Tasks and support projects. Reporting to the Architect/Manager - Development
• Understand the technical requirement, the solution being developed and independently develop code against them.
• Interact with Architecture Team
• Have a thorough understanding of the end to end product functionality
• Follow development processes to ensure quality deliverables.
• Contribute to Improve products to bring faster and better delivery
• Own the task and coordinate with the other team members where necessary to complete the task
• To work closely with QA and Operations teams for testing, configuration and deployment.
Required Skills:
• B.S. in Computer Science
• 5+ years developing software for the Rails platform
• Talented in Ruby, Competent in web service technologies/ideologies.
• Experience working with version control (e.g. CVS, SVN, Git).
• Strong Knowledge of HTML5 , CSS3.
• Strong communication skills, able to clearly articulate, defend and document design decisions and work with a distributed team
• Interest and aptitude for understanding the business models that drive the company
