Job Title: Technical Lead - .NET/SQL
Location : Des Moines, IA
Duration : 6+ Months Contract

Overview:
Acts as a technology implementer and uses extensive knowledge of IT best practices to influence Wellmark business and IT solutions.
Leads system design, development and integration of multiple systems by providing technical guidance and direction. 
Utilizes established relationships and consults with Wellmark leaders on system and process improvements. 
Provides guidance for IT policies, procedures, standards, tools, security and infrastructure.
This role will require specific experience with SQL and .NET. 

Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
7 + years of relevant work experience including:
7-9 years' experience in computer applications development and/or system analyst position. 
Experience in systems development life cycles.
Experience in programming languages  SQL, ASP.NET, C#, HTML).
Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure.
Experience in structured and/or object-oriented programming techniques.
Experience in various Information Technology platforms (Client Server, Data Warehouse, Internet/Intranet, Electronic Commerce, etc) and how each fits within and/or complements the enterprise architecture.
Good understanding of business continuity concepts and value.
Ability to coach and mentor teammates.
Knowledge of project methodologies.
Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure issues – business and I/S.
Ability to think strategically
Demonstrated strong analytic abilities and strong problem solving skills.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of the health care industry.
