Job title: Level3 Citrix engineer
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
Desired candidate will be responsible for supporting the production operations of the Citrix infrastructures primarily acting as a top tier support resource and performing production-bound service requests. The responsibilities include the following:
· Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE) with Hands on experience implementing and administering Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) / XenDesktop 7.x / Citrix NetScalers
· Complete production-specific service requests
· Collaborate with upper-tier support teams in actively mitigating Citrix-specific issue trends
· Engage with Architects in prioritizing service requests and other change management related tasks
· Conduct validation and testing of high-priority production infrastructure changes such as:
ü Windows and Citrix hot fixes
ü Citrix specific configuration changes (farm properties, Citrix policy modifications, User group, application configuration changes in the images)
· Perform Tier 3 support tasks such as:
ü identify root cause and provide recommendations for escalated issues from the second and lower level
ü Implement, document changes made to the environment which addresses the escalated issues
ü Open cases with Citrix and other vendors specific to production issues and coordinate troubleshooting activities
· Monitor the ongoing operation of the servers and able to provide analytics and reports
· Work proactively to identify problems and execute corrective actions as needed
· Maintain the Citrix base images
· Maintain Citrix infrastructure servers such as Web Interface, Zone Data Collectors, EdgeSight, etc.
· Manage Citrix server lifecycle (add, remove, retire, and refresh)
· Work on build out and new application deployment specific projects.
· Assist product owners in testing of applications
Required Skills:
· Strong individual contributor with 2-4 years of experience in implementing and administering Citrix and workstation infrastructures
· Proven track record of integrating Citrix and workstation based solutions on multiple environments
· Developed expertise in Citrix specific product areas (Web interface/Secure Gateway, Citrix image management, Plugin management)
· Assist with the impact on Citrix infrastructure based on change management implemented (post mortem/QA) to define success factors for service request
