Job Title : Software Engineer - Full Stack

Location : Salt Lake City, Utah or Schaumburg, IL

Duration : 12+ Months

 

 

Skills and Requirements:

 

●        Strong background in server-side web development, preferably in at least one of these technologies:  Java, Ruby On Rails, or Node.js

●        Experience with modern, single page web app development using HTML5, JavaScript (AngularJS), and CSS

●        Knowledge of client- and server-side web app performance scaling techniques; Be prepared to discuss application optimization experience on previous projects

●        A healthy obsession with learning design principles, design patterns, anti-patterns, and highly maintainable code

●        Real-time application development using tools such as WebSockets, SignalR, or Socket.IO

●        Experience with responsive design, including optimizations for desktop and mobile browsers

●        Experience defining and building Web (REST) APIs for internal and external usage

●        Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL data stores, including the ability to choose the right one for the job

●        Production application experience with public web applications; Ideally, you should have some knowledge of (and/or experience with) public cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.

●        Experience with big data technologies (Kafka, Storm, and/or Hadoop, in particular) are a plus

●        Experience with Test Driven Development and testing frameworks (i.e. rspec, Cucumber, JUnit, and Jasmine preferred)

 

Qualifications:

 

●        Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a technical area of study

●        3+ years of Software Development experience, 5+ years preferred

●        Working knowledge of Linux

●        Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

●        Interested in working in a continuous deployment environment
