Duration: 12Months

 

Job Description:

 

·         Installation, Administration, Upgrade and Maintenance of SQL Server Instances.

·         Ability to setup Test, Dev, Staging and Production Environments.

·         Database Backup and Restoration strategy.

·         Replication, high-Availability and disaster recovery  solution.

·         Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues with minimal to zero supervision.

·         On-call troubleshooting of SQL Server problems

·         Monitoring and Performance Tuning; SQL Server instance on physical Server  & virtual Server (VmWare)

·         Identification and application of relevant SQL Server Service Packs

·         Problem management, Incident management and Change management

·         Succinct communication

 

Nice to have skills

·         Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.

·         MCDBA / MCT certification

·         Documentation skills for processes and procedures 

·         Knowledge of 3rd party DBA tools and applications ( e.g redgate, idera, SCOM )

·         Tuning T-SQL queries to improve performance
