· Role : Web Designer / Developer III (Net) (PHP Developer)
Duration : 6+ Months
Location :Southlake TX
Phone + Skype hire .F2F for locals
Locals highly preferred.
Period 10/12/2015 to 10/11/2016
This position is with a team responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of multiple internal websites which connect with Oracle back-end systems. Servers run Apache for Red Hat Linux, PHP, Oracle, and Kerberos authentication. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of PHP and JavaScript, SQL database navigation and maintenance and have minimum 5 years experience developing web applications in a similar environment.
Education and Certifications
Minimum 2yr degree required but Bachelor's is preferred in Database Administration or Computer Information Systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Web application development including PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML
• SQL database administration and maintenance
• Unix (Solaris) & Linux (Red Hat)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Minimum 5 years experience as a web application developer in PHP environment with SQL database back end systems (Oracle strongly preferred) in a non-CMS environment.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Gather and analyze complex requirements and provide the proper solution
• Use CSS for consistent design elements with the pages served
• Create and schedule cron jobs
• Oracle:
o Design/implement Oracle sub-queries stored within the Oracle database
o Use SQL to retrieve/update/insert data via advanced queries with multiple sub-queries with EXIST and NOT EXIST conditions
• Web Development:
o Use PHP server-side programming language and JavaScript client-side scripting to:
§ Customize/create/implement dynamic web pages to aid in management of projects, schedules, training and reporting with multiple levels of privileges
§ Design/develop dynamic web pages that create output in Microsoft Excel and Word, as needed
o Use AJAX to dynamically retrieve data for a portion of a page instead of reloading the whole page
