Summary:
Con-way, a recognized leader in the transportation/logistics industry has an immediate opening for a skilled contract Microsoft Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse ETL developer.
This contractor will be experienced in ETL and database development and have expertise with specific Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012 platforms. This Business Intelligence contractor will work as a member of our business intelligence and data warehouse team located in Portland, Oregon.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience with requirements gathering, analysis and design of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- 3+ years' experience end-user reporting definition, development and platform support using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 3+ years' experience OLAP definition, development and support using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- 3+ years' experience database development and light DBA skills with SQL Server 2008R2/2012.
- Solid understanding of fundamental business intelligence and data warehouse design and development methodologies and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and metadata skills, translation of business questions and requirements into reports, views and business intelligence query objects.
- Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence and data warehouse tool and platform architectures, functions and features.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to document and communicate complex technical issues.
- Must be a committed team-player working in a dynamic environment and able to move between various business intelligence and data warehouse projects and adapt to changing needs and new initiatives.
Desired:
- Agile business intelligence software development life-cycle experience.
- Working knowledge and experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS), or similar application lifecycle management platform.
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Business Intelligence Developer.
- Functional areas of knowledge: logistics, transportation, warehousing.
- This position is a Contractor position.
