· #1 (Required) Net App FAS (ideally series 3165)

· #3 (Required) SIFS and ISCSI
· # 4 (Required) Provisioning and NAS aggregate exp
· #1 Nice to have Exchange exp
· #2 nice to Have Linux Admin exp
Job Description:
The job description (under position summary) is from the client and does not accurately reflect what they want. Below are some bullet points from my conversation with the manager. Also this is a critical position that must be filled soon so if the person is a Net App FAS expert, but missing some of the other skills please send them.
· Must have Net App FAS exp
· They have 5 Net App Systems that are critical to running their business and this role will be Tier 3 support. There will be very little, but possibly some evening calls.
· Provisioning, capacity planning and NAS Tiering exp will be very important
· Exp. with Virtualization and VMware also important
· Exp. with SNAO mirrors or Snap Clone's will be nice to have
· They have a Net App system at their DR site in NC which this person will support
· Their Active Directory runs on Net App so an understanding of Active Directory would be good. The Active Directory runs off Qtree
· They have EMC Clarion SAN so a good familiarity with EMC is needed
· Certifications not mandatory but, Nice to have. If they don't they need to have strong exp.
Top 3 duties and % used:
· Admin and Tier 3 support of the top 3 skills above 80%
· Capacity Planning 10%
· Future planning and assessment 10%
Top Projects to be implemented:
· Adding Disc Shelves (already ordered) and additional Capacity
· Optimization of Net App
· Recommendations on other improvements

POSITION SUMMARY:
Need a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Engineer providing key role in infrastructure systems architecture and support. Ensures design and delivery of robust systems with high availability. Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Integrates systems across server and storage platforms. This is a "hands on" high performance position in system operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extensive experience in RedHat Linux/Unix/Solaris and system global design
- Experience in capacity planning and deployment in a mixed Unix Windows environment
- Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration, including RedHat Linux (9.0), RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6, Debian 3.5 and later, Gentoo Linux
- Solaris 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 and 10 configuration and administration including zones, LDOMs and ZFS
- VERITAS Volume Manager, VERITAS Cluster Services, VERITAS Dynamic Mulitpathing, EMC Powerpath
- Linux kernel configuration and patching, Bash shell scripting, PHP, Python, HTML
- Apache web server, Samba, NFS, FTP, Asterisk PBX
- Netfilter, Secure Shell (open SSH/Tetcia), Rsync, Subversion
- Xen Hypervisor, VMware ESX, Nagios and Zenoss installation/customization
- Xen Hypervisor, VMware ESX, Nagios and Zenoss installation/customization
- HP Opsware, Sysedge, SiteScope
- Microsoft Windows administration, including server 2003 and 2008 with DFS and Active Directory
- Working knowledge in MySQL, VB.net, C, Cisco IOS 12.4, TCP/IP, UDP, T1(telco interconnect), Red Hat Directory Server
- Enterprise system monitoring and trouble shooting.
- NetApp, NAS Support, ISCSI Configuration and steady state maintenance
- SAN experience on both fiber channel and iSCSI.
- Configure, maintain and support Red Hat Clustering technology and KVM.
- Installs Dell/HP/Cisco hardware and software, conducts system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software and security related problems. Systems fleet management
- Work in a team environment and participate in 24/7 on-call schedule.
- Strong experience in VMware ESX 3/4/5 virtualized product set.
- Strong Experience with Vsphere, Vcloud, Vdirector, Vcenter
- Knowledgeable in Dell/HP hardware, product lines, and configurations.
- Experience with Bash/Shell scripting the ability to automate work loads
- F5/Cisco hardware Load Balancers for web farms.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Strong familiarity with Data Center Operations/NOC/escalation procedures
- Experience with VDI Enterprise Deployments
- Experience with scripting in Shell, Perl, and PHP. .
- Configure, maintain and support NIS, DNS and BIND.
- Liaison with application staff for infrastructure design and architecture
SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years experience as a Red Hat Server/NetApp Administrator
- 4+ years of experience with VMware administration, configuration, and support
- 4+ years of experience with Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 administration, configuration, and support.
- 4+ years of MySQL DBA Administration
- 4+ years of NetApp NAS Appliance administration
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience in the Linux multi-server environment
- RHCE required, RHCA is highly preferred
- CCNA highly preferred
- NetApp Certification Required
- ITILv3 Foundations certification highly preferred
