JOB FUNCTIONS:-
We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer with in-depth experience with the HP Tool Suite, specifically LoadRunner, Sitescope and HP Performance Center. You will be involved in developing, maintaining and executing Loadrunner scripts to test the performance, availability and scalability of complex web applications.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have five or more years in-depth experience developing, maintaining and executing LoadRunner scripts along with a solid understanding and a demonstrated application of test methodologies, including compilation of Test Plans, reporting of test results and diagnosis of defects to root cause in both a waterfall and agile development environment. You will have a passion for software and systems testing and be a determined, results focused individual who will passionately and assertively represent the customer and quality concerns. Testing and software quality will have been your career choice and you will be able to demonstrate a determined dedication to improving yourself, the processes you work with and the products you support. You will be able to compile complex, risk based Test Plans then execute these plans completely and correctly, whilst keeping your customers fully informed, your developers focused on defect resolution and the project on a timely completion.
Additional Skills:
• BAC and the use of Loadrunner/Topaz scripts to monitor and measure service availability.
• HP Diagnostics to investigate resource issues to root cause.
• Experience using Quality Center and QTP.
Accountabilities:
1.This position designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs software for those applications in which a significant level of technical expertise is required. 2.Works with technical staff to understand and analyze complex software problems and develops specifications to resolve them. 3.May make suggestions or offer alternative resolutions for software problems or enhancements. 4.Participates in the development of software user manuals to support the ongoing use and application of the software. 5.May demonstrate software to others to introduce them to new or enhanced applications. 6.Provide direction and support and assists in the training of less experienced software development staff to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software development. 7.May act as a team leader on less complex projects. 8.Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
May lead or manage a project. Provides direction and acts as a resource for less experienced developers.
