Overview:
The client's engineering team is looking for Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to build and maintain the core systems that drive the client's various business units. These core systems include a state of the art content management, user data, and authentication/authorization, e-commerce and notification services. The SDE will design, develop and maintain middle-tier web services software written in Java with emphasis on high performance/availability, object-oriented software development in a multi-tenant, multi-tier environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.       Must have 3-5+ years experience in Java software development consisting of  a development environment will be Java EE & Java SOA: Java, JSP, servlets, WS-*, ESB, SQL, ORM frameworks

2.       Develop & Design software systems and write Java EE implementationsof these designs.

3.       Participate in creating user stories and prioritization.

4.       Write statements of design that detail proposed designs.

5.       Build high-quality implementations of the proposed designs.

6.       Write unit tests to validate software.

7.       Development experience in enterprise Java architecture and technologies (i.e. Spring / Spring MVC, SOAP/REST, JSP/Servlets, JDBC/ORM)

8.       Proficiency in object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, UML, multi-threading, network programming, domain driven design

9.       Proficiency in SOA principles (Interface-driven design, loose coupling, modularity, reusability, asynchronicity, high availability, scalability, and expansion flexibility)

10.   Prior experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, iBatis)

11.   Experience with solving performance bottlenecks using profiling tools like JProfiler etc.

12.   Prior experience with Linux/UNIX scripting and tools

13.   Experience using agile methodologies and supporting technologies (TDD, continuous integration builds, etc.)

14.   Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

15.   Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

16.   Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
