Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops technical solution artifacts that provide Solution Designers/Tech Leads with adequate degree of detail to develop solutions fit for purpose and aligned with business and IT strategies.
• Provides business owners, project managers and management with appropriate technical advice in pre-project and project initiation phases.
• Communicates architectural options, issues and opportunities clearly to non-technical staff and business stakeholders
• Reviews current IT asset inventory and suggests pragmatic and value add changes, in line with current IT best practice.
• Aligns architectural trade-off options, alternatives and recommendations to business imperatives and goals.
• Aligns solution architecture to business strategic plans, IT strategic direction and project requirements.
• Collaborates with both business change teams & IT to define the approach for delivering an IT project.
• Leads / contributes to the delivery of assigned IT application projects and ensures the solution agreed is the solution delivered.
• Leads / contributes towards architecture/technology assessment of commercial off the shelf applications
• Liaises with infrastructure architecture for alignment of application architecture with infrastructure.

Capabilities:

• Extensive exposure multiple business domains
• Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
• Experience in analysis, requirement gathering, design, and development, of large scale enterprise application systems
• Experience of application development, delivery and implementation
• Exposure to data modeling
• Has been a member of a project delivery team that has successfully delivered major business solutions into production/implementation
• Sound understanding of system design
• Sound knowledge of relational databases and design
