Role: TeraData Developer

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: Contract

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work with business requirements and will act as a business/technical analyst to identify and understand source data systems.
2. Extensive Teradata and Teradata utilities like BTEQ,MLoad,Fastload is must
3. Performance tune new/existing programs that load data into the data warehouse and act as the technical resource for the data warehouse team.

2. Create and maintain standard development life cycle documentation as part of all development project tasks.

3. Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.

4. 5. Map source system data to data warehouse models, meet with Technical Architects, Data Modelers and DBAs to review design strategies for new ETL processes.

6.Strong technical analytical skills and an ability to provide creative solutions to problems.
7. Participate in certain aspects of business user consulting, system analysis, and general system designs.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Knowledge of Oracle 11g Databases
3.Teradata and Teradata utilities and strong on Data warehousing concepts
4. Experience in troubleshooting and debugging

5. Expertise in problem solving at the highest level

6. Unix Scripting (KSH, CSH, PERL)
