Job Description:
Responsibilities:
· Designs, builds and executes Performance Testing to include: Load, Endurance, Volume and Stress Testing
· Performance tests across multiple messaging protocols (including HTTP), focusing on overall application performance – validating that application response and outputs accurately reflect business requirement
· Improve and maintain new and existing performance tests
· Tracks and communicates task progress, status and key performance metrics
· Documents defects related to application and/or system performance
· Coordinates activities with off-shore performance testing team
· Follows the Company's software development life cycle (SDLC) and participates in design and code review processes as well as leads performance test plan/strategy reviews.
· Adheres to established timelines, ITSM guidelines and architectural principles and procedures for delivering defect-free quality solutions that meet company and departmental standards and customer requirements.
· Follows technology trends and advancements in the field of performance testing, researches and implements new performance technology and processes
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 4 years of performance testing experience
· Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, databases (SQL), file structures, system design and analysis
· Proven experience performance testing web services.
· Previous experience with Web Methods is preferred.
· Proven knowledge and experience with various Performance software development languages and frameworks
· Experience in scripting Web 2.0 and SAP applications
· Advanced experience writing and executing performance tests with SAP and Web
· Programming experience with C and Java
· Intermediate to advanced level experience with Loadrunner 12.x /Performance Center (Protocols: HTTP/HTML, SAP, Winsock).
· Understanding of monitoring tools that support performance testing (HP Diagnostics, HP Sitescope, Gomez, BSM)
· Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, then implement solutions is essential
· Experience with the review of software requirements documents, risk analysis and specification documents is necessary.
· Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
