Requirement Title ADS_3   -  Principal Software Engineer .  Description Job Title: Principal Software Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 12+ Months   If you are interested, please send me your updated resume along with the following details Expected hourly rate: Availability: Current Location: Visa Status: Primary contact details:   Job Description: Perform a variety of coding tasks (develop, modify existing, test, maintain etc.) for controlling and communicating with test instruments while maintaining the architectural programming methodology as defined by Engineering. Perform a variety of hands-on tasks (set up and run equipment, tests etc.)   Prefer Experience: ·         Experience in architecting, managing and maintaining complex LabVIEW programs ·         Communication, automation and control of sophisticated test instruments using GPIB, RS 232, Ethernet (TCP/IP), SCPI language commands, SNMP networks etc. ·         Familiarity with Network Analyzers (RF), Spectrum Analyzers (Optical +RF), Power meters, QAM BER receivers, signal generators, voltmeters, power supplies, SNMP managed devices, controller boards, etc., from a variety of vendors (mainly Rohde and Schwarz, Agilent, HP, and others). ·         Creating instrument drivers for sophisticated test instruments. ·         Interfacing LabVIEW with other programming languages (PHP, Python, C++, web applications, etc.). ·         Data collection and organization (interaction with Excel and Word files, SQL based Databases (PostgreSQL and Access preferred) ·         Skills in other programming languages (VBA, C++, SQL etc.) ·         Associates or Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline such as engineering or computer science. ·         Please provide a 1 page writing sample of any kind, as well as software code sample of previous LabVIEW software developed, preferably to control an instrument.   Required Skills: ·         4 or more years programming experience with National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW version 2009 and higher. ·         Demonstrated competent architectural programming techniques. ·         Excellent troubleshooting software skills. ·         Must have excellent communication skills ·         Must have excellent documentation skills (source code, operating manuals and report generation of test results) ·         Ability to perform manual tasks and carry heavy equipment (50 lbs.) safely. ·         Associates or Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline such as engineering or computer science.   Number of Openings :  1 ,  Duration :  12+ Months   Apply
