Job Title: Technology Engineer IV | McAfee SME

Location: Reston, VA

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

·         Read, analyze and interpret business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures.

·         Secure relevant information, integrates data from different sources, and identifies possible causes of problems.

·         Management and administration of system policies, exclusions, rule sets, repairs, deployments, and maintain ePO to support applications/tools

·         Perform Daily Ticket Queue Monitoring and Incident Resolution

·         Participate in Proof of Concepts

·         Participate in projects to manage the solution design, in compliance with policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture

·         Support Change and Problem Management activities

·         Perform tasks outside of regular business hours as required.

·         Handle restricted data with sensitivity to ensure that confidential data remains private.

 

Detailed knowledge and working experience with some of the following -

·         McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS, HBSS) – Configuration, deployment, remediation, policy management

·         McAfee VirusScan Enterprise / VSE – Configuration, deployment, remediation, policy management – VSE for Linux is a plus

·         McAfee Application Control (Whitelisting)

·         McAfee Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

·         Specific experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)and hands on experience deploying and troubleshooting ePO managed products (e.g HIPS, VSE, DLP)

·         Security / McAfee Certifications highly desired

·         Windows Workstation and Server Administration

·         Excellent teamwork skills

·         Experience providing Enterprise level support

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL and other Microsoft Products.

·         Experience working within an ITIL and/or CMMI level 3 methodology

 

Desired Skills –

·         Apple iOS or OS X / macOS systems administration

·         JAMF / Casper Certifications

 

Manager Notes:

·         Will be joining a team of 3 other similar resources

·         This role is sort of in-between info security and desktop engineering

·         Need to be an expert in McAfee

·         They will take escalations even from the desktop engineers

·         For the most part this is a 9-5 but need to be flexible off-hours if something comes up.

·         Primarily on a Windows OS, but also some linux

·         Not looking for someone who has just deployed McAfee. Those resources won't be in-depth enough to understand the intricacies of this role.

·         Open to Video hire for non-local candidates.
