10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Analytics and Reporting using industry standard BI tools like Cognos and Business Objects
· 5+ years of experience in using Cognos 8 / ReportNet in building reports and analytics interfaces using Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio and Event Studio (must)
· 3+ years of experience in building medium to complex level, highly interactive and visually appealing reports in Cognos 8 Environment (must)
· 3+ years of experience in supporting a demanding Cognos reporting environment capable of managing production reports in reviewing their performance and continuously optimizing the same by closely working with the Framework Modelers, Data Warehouse Developers, Database Administrators and Cognos IT Administrators (must)
· 2+ years of experience in designing and building Cognos PowerPlay Cubes and building reports on top of PowerPlay Cubes using various Studios from Cognos Connection (preferred)
· Experience in Cognos 10 and QlikView (preferred)
· Solid hands-on SQL experience on industry standard databases most specifically IBM DB2 UDB
· Proven capability in interacting with Business users in understanding their requirements, documenting and transforming the same into Cognos based output solutions in the form of Reports, OLAP analytics and Dashboards.
· Accountable for creation of reports technical specification and test cases including report design, security design, job scheduling, report archiving and portal design.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills capable of tracing issues end to end and resolving the same
· Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, Business Intelligence architecture, Data Modeling and Framework Modeling
· Effectively communicate to the team members and stake holders in seeing that the solution is designed and implemented on time with expected accuracy; Should adapt excellent customer focus.
· Experience in working with distributed global team working in different time-zones in ensuring the day to day deliverables
· Strong Interpersonal (listening, written and verbal communication) and presentation skills.
