Urgent Need – "DataStage Architect" in Windsor, CT

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job Description:

Data Architect and Modeler with strong Erwin, DataStage and PL/SQL skills. Responsibilities will include analyzing existing database structure and design new data models based on business requirements. The new database design should support all business requirements and should support future performance requirements. Candidate will work closely with DBA for design this new database, and will be involved in developing both DataStage jobs and PL/SQL scripts to load/migrate data from existing database.

 

Essential Skills Required

·         7+ years experience in a Data Architecture and Data Modeling. Must have advanced and extensive experience in creating conceptual, logical and physical data models in the Insurance Claims processing domain. Prior experience in creating data warehouse/ ODS models is required. Experience in prior projects where there is extensive data modeling of database schemas from the scratch and using ETL to populate the schemas from multiple upstream systems and consolidating the data is a plus.

·         Experience with PL/SQL and DataStage is required.

·         Data Architect / Data Modeler for creating logical ER Mapping.

 

Skill sets are:

·         Data Architecture experience in Group insurance domain

·         Model ODS from scratch

·         Experience with creating logical ER Models

·         Schema Normalization skill sets for creating the eventual physical db model
