Very urgent requirement: Android Applications Developer  in Overland Park, KS

Duration: 6 Months

 

Description:

Client is seeking a talented software engineer to join Product Development team as a Mobile Application Developer.   This team focuses on creating innovative products and services for mobile devices. 

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Design, development, and testing of mobile applications.  Test on the latest mobile devices.

2.      Some applications must be developed in strict accordance with standards or technical specifications. Other applications will have more design flexibility.

3.      Interface and communicate with Product Management, User Experience & Design, and back office development teams as needed for project. 

4.      Code all aspects of the applications and often design the software architecture. However, a user interface specialist will typically design the UI with special consideration to ergonomics and usability.

5.      End-to-end testing of the application, including any server components that the app might interface with.

6.      Utilize agile development methodology.

 

Qualifications:

1.       5+ years experience with JAVA.

2.      3+ years experience with Embedded or Mobile Application Development.

3.     Experience developing mobile apps on Android devices.

4.      Experience using web services (e.g. REST, JSON, XML).

5.      Experience with Eclipse IDE.

6.      Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns.

7.      Experience with Linux or UNIX.

8.      Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  

Nice to Have

1.       Relational database

2.      Source code control (e.g., SVN or GIT)

3.      Server side Java skills
