Position: Sr. C++ Developer

Contract to hire or contract

Location: Newport Beach, CA   

Interview: Phone interview and the face to face

 

Key is C++, designing and developing multi-threaded software on Linux/Unix.

Experience in the Financial Industry, especially Fixed Income, Investment Management or Trading

Very strong C++/Unix and application development capability

Would really like Python

 

Note:  You will be required to take a C++ competency test as part of the interview process. 

• EXPERT LEVEL C++ programmer to develop and enhance financial applications. 

• Linux/Unix platform. 

• Experienced with web based development including dynamically generated charts/plots.

• Recent hands-on experience designing and developing multi-threaded software on Linux/Unix.

• Knowledge of Python integration with C/C++ strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX Shell Scripts and SQL desired.   

• Must be a team player and possesses excellent verbal communication skills. 

• Must be able to project manage and work within a team environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Must be a high energy/self-starter with the ability to work independently within the firm's demanding and highly focused environment.

• Experience in the Financial Industry, especially Fixed Income, Investment Management or Trading is preferred.

• Requires at least a four-year college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical/IT degree.

Very strong C++/Unix and application development capability

Knowledge of financial products (Interest rate swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Bonds, etc.)

Compliance and regulations - good to have skill - Fixed income experience
