Title : Sr Business Systems Analyst (BI)
Location : Minneapolis MN
Duration : 6 months.
Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
• Gathering, driving and documenting stakeholder requirements and product vision through the planning, analysis, development, and testing phases
• Translating stakeholder requirements into various documentation deliverables such as functional specifications, use cases, workflow/process diagrams
• Analyzing business processes and systems, identifying inefficiencies and/or required functional enhancements, and documenting business processes and procedures
• Translating business needs into clear requirements that will enable the design of flexible solutions to enable business strategies and align with IT architecture direction
• Providing deep functional expertise of system capabilities
• Lead the work of other BAs or outsourced vendors.
• Articulating functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various levels
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and create test plans for use across projects
• This role must effectively partner across teams with various staffing models of internal and external resources in order to deliver successful solutions.
• The successful candidate must have experience in multiple system delivery lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Skills Overview:
• 7+ years of experience in several of the following areas, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities:
• Application Delivery
• Business Process Re-engineering
• Program or Project Management
• User Experience Design
• Business Relationship Management
• System Development
• Experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience with Business Intelligence Solutions (Microsoft, IBM, Business Objects, Microstrategy, etc)
• Leading and mentoring junior Business Analysts
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
• Any Business Analyst/Project Management/Change Management Certifications
• Prior experience with a large corporate retail environment
• Prior IT experience implementing large scale Business Intelligence deployments or other large program implementations
• Prior experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
• Prior experience with Qlikview
• Prior experience with databases and SQL
• Experience in an IT function for a global consumer oriented organization in retail, digital business or related industry
• Experience gathering business needs and creating into workable outcomes
• Multiple years of experience in working with change management processes
